Dragon Playing Guide (Rebecca's Skill)

Konami actually created a deck that lives purely on Skill, so I don't know what to call this deck. The name Dragon was given by Duel Links Meta, and a pig-feed deck that lives thanks to the ability to draw too many cards from Skill Guardian Angel's Charity.

You can use this Skill's second and third effects once per Duel if your Deck contains no more than 4 non-LIGHT/non-WIND monsters. 1: You cannot Normal or Special Summon (excluding Special Summons from the Extra Deck) any monsters, except "Guardian Angel Joan" and Dragon monsters. You can Normal Summon 1 "Guardian Angel Joan" during your Main Phase in addition to your Normal Summon/Set, and "Guardian Angel Joan" can be Normal Summoned/Set without Tributing, also you can only draw cards by card effects once per turn. 2: Reveal 1 "Luster Dragon #2", "Luster Dragon", or "Guardian Angel Joan" from your hand. Add 1 "Guardian Angel Joan" or Dragon Normal Monster from your Deck to your hand, then send 1 Dragon monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. 3: If you control "Guardian Angel Joan", add 1 "Graceful Charity" and 1 "Stamping Destruction" from outside your Deck to your hand, then play up to 1 "Luster Dragon #2" and 1 "Luster Dragon" (up to 2 cards total) from your Deck to your field in face-down Defense Position. GUARDIAN ANGEL CHARITY - Rebecca Hawkins ' exclusive skill. As long as you don't have more than 4 monsters other than Light and Wind, you can draw a bunch of cards like this:

  • You can Normal Summon an additional GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN during your Main Phase, in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. And GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN can be Normal Summoned or Set without a Tribute.

  • You can add an Angel/Fairy or a Normal Dragon monster from your deck to your hand and then send a Dragon monster from your deck to the Graveyard. This is great because of the simple activation condition + sending a Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos from your deck to the Graveyard will be an extremely convenient Extender.

  • If you control GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN , you add a GRACEFUL CHARITY and a STAMPING DESTRUCTION from outside your deck to your hand. You then play up to one LUSTER DRAGON #2 and one LUSTER DRAGON, for a total of up to two cards from your deck to the field in face-down defense position. (draw cards)

You can change the battle stance of the monsters. So it is important to start with Angel at all costs, otherwise you must have LUSTER DRAGON and then search for Angel with the skill. That is why we also bring along SUMMONER'S ART that DSOD gave us so that we can bring LUSTER DRAGON #2 from the deck to our hand.

This card is essentially a free Special Summon + 1 Free level 7 Dragon body.

The Skill's condition is to send 1 Dragon card from the Deck to the grave, which sounds like a cost but it's actually a beneficial effect if we put this card down. This card when in the grave has an effect: just Banish 2 Dragon cards from the Hand or Grave (this deck is not lacking, it's even beneficial when banishing) and we can special summon it on the field. 1 Level 7 body can quickly combine with   GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN for XYZ rank 7, or Fusion Dragonmaid, or Link summon,... so this is the card 99% of the time we will want to send it to the grave.

This is the Core of the deck so you need x3 cards. When you summon this card, you start the entire Deck through Skill. The effect of this card has nothing.

This card is 90% similar to Blaster, except that it is Wind-type so it can meet a small part of the Skill + it has an ability that Blaster does not have: When Banished, it will add 1 Wind Dragon from the Deck to the hand. This ability makes it an involuntary Searcher when combined with Gold Sarcophagus or Blaster (search 2 normal dragon cards in the deck to activate the Skill)

Wind Dragon is 99.67% similar to Tempest and Blaster but is level 10 so it cannot XYZ.

Very good because when summoned, it helps us destroy 2 of our opponent's cards while we can easily special summon this card from the deck thanks to the ability of the Link card Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres (push 1 of our opponent's cards and special summon this card from the deck) or summon it directly thanks to Hieratic Dragon King of Atum

This dragon feeds on emerald. Enchanted by this monster even when attacked, few people live to tell of its beauty.


Normal monsters that seem useless become the Core of a deck gathered by Skill. This is a symbiotic relationship: Skill needs these 2 cards - these 2 cards need Skill.
  • Luster Dragon: 4 stars so can be normal summoned, so be careful when discarding it, it can be useful with a 1900 ATK body

  • Luster #2: This card is level 6 so it is the main force to summon when activating Skill -> from there XYZ rank 6 combo like Beatrice or Hieratic

This card has a good graveyard effect, suitable for setting up the graveyard for the second effect of the Skill. At the start of the combo, it will help us have a free level 5 Dragon body on the field and at the same time search for Level 4 Dragonmaid or Luster Dragon.

Although the art looks a bit sida, don't forget this is also a Dragon card, it can be special summoned relatively easily when in the grave. Then we can use rank 8 XYZ cards like Dingrisu

                      As you can see, this deck has a lot of level 7 monsters to make XYZ meat and Voloferniges is the best Rank. Quick Destroy and ATK increase are things that every endboard wants.

                      These 2 cards are good but quite difficult to get because they are in the selection box. I:P goes quite well with Knightmare but if you don't have it, then forget it, it's not necessary because we already have Hieratic Sphere to make Link 2 endboard effective and cost much less resources.

                      XYZ Rank 6 Hieratic is the number 1 choice for the deck. Beatrice is not as good and is Limit 1 but it can also open up interesting and unique combos for the deck. If you have this card, you can occasionally put it in to change up the combo.



                      How to play/ Combo

                      SAMPLE COMBO INSTRUCTIONS

                      1. Turn 1 Standard Combo - "Impregnable Field"

                      Objective: Create DRAGONMAID SHEOU (Negate) + HIERATIC SEAL (Bounce)

                      • Step 1: Normal Summon GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN (Skill allows summoning without sacrifice or you use LUSTER DRAGON to activate skill to find Joan).

                      • Step 2: Activate Skill:

                        • Add GRACEFUL CHARITY & STAMPING DESTRUCTION .

                        • Send the GALACTIC SPIRAL DRAGON to the Grave.

                        • Place 2 LUSTER DRAGON #2 cards on the field.

                      • Step 3: Flip 2 Dragons face up. Xyz Summon HIERATIC DRAGON KING OF ATUM .

                      • Step 4: ATUM Effect: Split materials, special summon DRAGONMAID CHAMBER from Deck.

                      • Step 5: CHAMBER Effect: Search for DRAGONMAID CHANGEOVER (if already present, search for TIDYING ).

                      • Step 6: Activate GRACEFUL CHARITY to draw and filter cards (find more Handtrap/Staple).

                      • Step 7: Activate CHANGEOVER : Fusion CHAMBER + GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN (or Dragon in hand) -> Summon DRAGONMAID SHEOU .

                      • Step 8: If you have enough Dragons (or use Atum and Spiral Dragon), Link Summon HIERATIC SEAL OF THE HEAVENLY SPHERES .

                      Result: You have 1 Omni-Negate ( SHEOU ), 1 Bounce ( SEAL or TIDYING ), and a rich hand thanks to GRACEFUL CHARITY .

                      2. Combo Go Later (Turn 2 OTK) - "Destroy & Finish"

                      Objective: Clear the back row and use Rank 8 to punch

                      • Step 1: Summon GUARDIAN ANGEL JOAN and activate Skill as above.

                      • Step 2: Immediately use STAMPING DESTRUCTION (just received) to explode 1 Spell/Trap of the opponent and deal 500 damage.

                      • Step 3: In the Graveyard, activate GALACTIC SPIRAL DRAGON : Special summon to the field (because you already have 2 Light/Dark Dragons or Joan).

                      • Step 4: GALACTIC SPIRAL Effect: Turn all monsters on the field into Level 8 .

                      • Step 5: Xyz Summon Rank 8:

                        • DINGIRSU: To send 1 opponent card to the graveyard (no target).

                        • GALAXY-EYES CIPHER BLADE : To destroy

                      • Step 6: Finishing attack.
