Master the sky with the sun god Ra: Immortal Phoenix

Master the sky with the sun god Ra: Immortal Phoenix

A deck of sparrows, chickens (Phoenix) or something fiery like fifai ensures coolness for you to play until the end. As for the title, never mind =)), I'm just saying nonsense.

A little introduction

A little introduction

This time there will be no lore j because this is an anime deck. So it's a very famous card, just know that Marik used it, yatta yatta.

Now let's do this part quickly. Ra is a fairly new deck, and in fact many people don't know how to play this deck. Until now! New skills and cards are here to support a strategy focused on getting The Winged Dragon of Ra - Immortal Phoenix onto the Field as soon as possible.
IT'S NOT A MONSTER, IT'S A GODDESS. This god has an ATK of 4000 and is completely unaffected by anything. It sounds good, but in reality, baby birds are still very fragile and easily broken by all kinds of removal. I will talk about this later. Now, let's see what this deck can do. In the end, this pile is still long :v

You can only Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" and monsters containing that card name during Duels where this Skill is used. Each of the following effects can be used once per Duel. ● Send 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" or a card containing that name from your hand to the Graveyard, and either add 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra," a card containing that name, or "Monster Reborn" from the Deck to your hand or send it to the Graveyard. ● Add 1 "Monster Reborn" from your Graveyard to your hand if you have "The Winged Dragon of Ra" or a Divine-Beast-Type monster containing that name on your field. Banish any "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode" on your field that was not Special Summoned during this turn at the end of your turn.

Anime Skill for Marik. Right from the first line, it locks us in tightly with The Winged Dragon of Ra along with other forms and followers of this god for the entire battle. This skill even locks the Extra Deck while newer skills only lock the Main Deck. So we can't play Mekk-knights, there's no Ice Dragon's Prison because Komoney simply doesn't want our deck to have Strong Cards :v

Skill's first ability is simply the ability to make the deck more stable and less prone to bricks. By sending to the grave a Ra card or any card that mentions Ra, it will enchant your hand to be perfect immediately. Then you will add 1 card with the words "Winged Dragon of Ra" or 1 " Monster Reborn " from your deck to your hand. Overall, this effect helps us actually play this Ra deck, bringing great stability, and you will definitely always want to see The True Sun God and another Form of Ra or Millennium Revelation in your hand if you want the deck. This really works well.

The second effect is simply adding Monster Reborn to your hand if you are controlling any form of Ra. So you will always have a way to summon Ra with Millennium Revelation or Dark Spell Regeneration

As for the last line, really, I don't understand why Komoney gave Sphere Mode a small penalty. Maybe time will tell everything, let's find out or wait for the deck's influence to see why Sphere Mode needs to be banned like that.

Cannot be Special Summoned. Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, other cards and effects cannot be activated. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can pay LP so that you only have 100 left; this card gains ATK/DEF equal to the amount of LP paid. You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 monster on the field; destroy that target.

This is the main character of the deck, the god we built the deck around. You will never use his effects =)) except for the last one . That's right, Ra also has a destruction effect, sometimes this eff is overshadowed by the rather useless pay LP buff dame eff. By paying 1000 LP, you can Destroy 1 card on the field, and this is not one per turn so you can destroy as many as you want as long as you have life points left.

Normally it's not possible to special summon from the grave with Monster Reborn due to Ra's first line, but we can bypass that condition thanks to Millennium Revelation . Similar to Sphere Mode, it can also ignore the conditions to special summon Ra.

x2 is required because whatever the deck is about, we need that. It might be x3 for this god, but now we can only earn x2 which is the max (as of the time of writing this article).

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect. If "The Winged Dragon of Ra" is sent from the field to your GY while this card is in your GY: Special Summon this card. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation. This card is unaffected by other cards' effects. You can pay 1000 LP; send 1 monster on the field to the GY. Once per turn, during the End Phase: Send this card to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode" from your hand, Deck, or GY, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

As sweet fruit, the deck's entire strategy:

  • While in the grave, if The Winged Dragon of Ra is sent from the field to the GY, Immortal Phoenix will jump onto the field. And this effect cannot be chained, meaning it will not be negated

  • The 4000 Atk meat lump cannot be affected by any effects. Directly threatens the enemy's LP and many times will cause them to immediately surrender. This card even ignores Sphere Mode's effect and attacks that ball, something your other monsters cannot (because Sphere Mode summons on the opp side of the field and cannot be punched).

  • Quite similar to the original, this Ra also pays 1000 Lp to send a monster from the field to the grave (no target effect), one of the strongest removal effects in the game. So with 4000 LP, we usually clear 3 monsters and otk with 4000 virtual Atk vkl

  • Final effect is mandatory. Immortal Phoenix will ALWAYS burrow itself into the grave and swap places with The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode at the end of the turn. This counts towards both EndPhase, so even if you summon this card during the enemy's turn, at Endphase it will still turn into an egg.

    🤡

. "So what if I don't have an egg? My cum won't be an egg anymore kkkk." Stop dreaming =)) If you don't have an Egg, it will still crawl into the hole on its own.

Cannot be Special Summoned. Requires 3 Tributes from either side of the field to Normal Summon to that side of the field (cannot be Normal Set), then shift control to this card's owner during the End Phase of the next turn. Cannot attack. Your opponent cannot target this card for attacks or by card effects. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions, and if you do, its ATK/DEF become 4000.

This marble is one of the most memorable monsters in Yugioh history :)) Its summoning cost is quite similar to Lava Golem and Kaijus, with the ability to clear large numbers of monsters so we will occasionally see it appear. appears in the Side Deck in professional YGO competition. Anyway, enough about TCG/OCG, let's get back to Duel Links.

This card can be used in two ways, one is to remove and clear enemy monsters, and the other is to protect us. Sphere Mode is funny in that it has 0 Atk but also adds the line "Can not Attack" =)) but it cannot be selected as an attack target or selected by eff cards. So sometimes dealing with this marble is really annoying. However, the game now also has many non-target removal effects like Dark Hole , so this card will no longer be too imba in the format.

By the way, this egg will also Tribute itself to hatch the original The Winged Dragon of Ra , and at the same time directly buff 4000 Atk so we don't have to worry about that stupid Clucking Chicken with 0 Atk =))

You can send 1 Divine-Beast monster from your hand to the GY; add 1 "Monster Reborn" from your Deck or GY to your hand. You can send this face-up card to the GY; this turn, you can Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your GY with "Monster Reborn", ignoring its Summoning conditions. During the End Phase of the turn this effect was activated, you must send "The Winged Dragon of Ra" you control that was Special Summoned with "Monster Reborn" to the GY. You can only use each effect of "Millennium Revelation" once per turn.

A long looking but quite simple card, Countinuous Spell requires you to discard 1 Divine-Beast (specifically our chicken god) to add Monster Reborn from the deck or grave to your hand. But more importantly, it can be sent to the grave to make Monster Reborn ignore Ra's summoning conditions (which will be very important if you want this deck to work effectively). Note that if Ra remains on the field, it will be sent back to the grave by Millennium Revelation's final effect.

Attention ! Using Monster Reborn first will cause this card's first effect to not work. This means you need to use the Skill to send Ra to the grave instead of Revelation. Just remember that if you don't do it, you will have to play in a very restrictive way.

When this card is activated: Add 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" or 1 card that mentions it from your Deck to your hand, except "The True Sun God". Monsters, except "The Winged Dragon of Ra", cannot attack the turn they are Special Summoned. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can send this card from the field, or 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Immortal Phoenix" from your Deck, to the GY, then send 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your Monster Zone to the GY. You can only activate 1 "The True Sun God" per turn.

One card makes the deck ratio extremely stable. Again, it's a continuos spell, but it allows you to add any card that has The Winged Dragon of Ra in it. But this is not the main reason why you x3 this card, it has 2 very strong effs, equal to the previous eff:

      • All Monsters cannot Attack on the turn they are Special Summoned, except The Winged Dragon of Ra . That's right, it's a form of floodgate that helps you bait until you can Otk with Ra

      • You can send this card, or 1 Immortal Phoenix from your Deck to the Graveyard to send the original Ra on the field with you. It sounds complicated, but in fact it will activate Immortal Phoenix, causing the Chicken to regenerate into a stronger Phoenix than ever before.

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target 1 Spell in your opponent's GY; Set it to your field. You can banish this card from your GY and send 1 "Monster Reborn" from your hand or Set on your field to the GY; Special Summon 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your GY ignoring its Summoning conditions, then you can send 1 monster your opponent controls to the GY, also send that Special Summoned monster to the GY during the End Phase.

Opp's trap effect is quite irrelevant, we mainly play this card because of its grave effect. While in the grave, it can send Monster Reborn in several places to the grave, thereby reviving the original Ra and sending 1 of opp's monsters to the grave as well (non-target). Because it is a grave effect, we can consider this a form of disruption

We only need to x1 this card to send it from the deck. Or you can also x3 to increase the chance of appearing in your hand on the first turn, thereby sending it to the GY with skill.

If you control a monster whose original name is "The Winged Dragon of Ra", you can activate this card the turn it was Set. During the Main Phase: You can pay LP so that you only have 100 left; 1 Special Summoned "The Winged Dragon of Ra" you control gains ATK/DEF equal to the amount of LP paid (even if this card leaves the field). Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra"; gain LP equal to its ATK on the field. You cannot activate both of this card's effects in the same Chain.

1 Continuous Trap card is also quite simple. In general, it will help you increase your ability to summon Ra and his forms, while also occasionally restoring LP if needed. Sometimes it will also work quite well because it can activate right on the face-down turn if we have the original Ra on the field, saving us having to wait 1 turn.

The main strategy of the deck

Get The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode marble to your field as quickly as possible. Which will expand and bring Immortal Phoenix onto the field. If not, take Dark Spell Regeneration to the grave as quickly as possible, this is probably a better choice here as it is also a form of disruption. The best case scenario you will get is that you have both Regenation and Phoenix in your grave, and 1 Monster Reborn in your hand.

          Regular combos:

          1. Activate The True Sun God, add the original Ra to your hand

          2. Activate Millennium Revelation , then discard Ra to add Monster Reborn

          3. Use Revelation's 2nd eff to activate Monster Reborn and revive Ra

          4. The True Sun God's effect is activated, sending Immortal Phoenix to the grave and Ra on the field as well.

          5. Phoenix comes onto the field and does some things, turning into an egg in endphase.
Of course this is not always possible, sometimes you will have a hand that can do more than this or even do nothing like other decks.

          Weakness

          1. Dark Hole is really a big threat to the entire strategy of this Ra deck

          2. Abyss Dweller counters Immortal Phoenix and Regeneration

          3. The True Sun God and Revelation are both Countinous, so they are quite vulnerable to MST and Cosmic

          4. The first hand has Monster Reborn Brick vcc

          5. The original chicken has 0 Atk and doesn't even have any protection eff =))) so it's very easy to be punched in the current meta
