Instructions for building and playing Phantom Beast Branded (DUNE 2023)

Spell Quick

Target 1 "Despia" monster or "Fallen of Albaz" in your GY; add it to your hand, then you can apply the following effect. ● Fusion Summon 1 Level 8 or higher Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, by banishing Fusion Materials mentioned on it from your hand or field, but it cannot attack directly this turn. You can only activate 1 "Branded in Red" per turn.

Spell Quick

Discard 1 card, then take 1 "Despia" monster from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or Special Summon it in Defense Position, also for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters. If a Fusion Monster(s) you control would be destroyed by card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only use each effect of "Branded Opening" once per turn.

DARK 8

"Fallen of Albaz" + 1 LIGHT monster If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can Fusion Summon 1 Level 8 or lower Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, except "Albion the Branded Dragon", by banishing Fusion Materials mentioned on it from your hand, field, and/or GY. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there this turn: You can add to your hand or Set 1 "Branded" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Albion the Branded Dragon" once per turn.

DIVINE 10

Cannot be Special Summoned. Requires 3 Tributes from either side of the field to Normal Summon to that side of the field (cannot be Normal Set), then shift control to this card's owner during the End Phase of the next turn. Cannot attack. Your opponent cannot target this card for attacks or by card effects. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions, and if you do, its ATK/DEF become 4000.

LIGHT 4

If this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle. You can only use each of the following effects of "Mirror Swordknight" once per turn. (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck that mentions "Chimera Fusion", except "Mirror Swordknight". When a monster your opponent controls activates its effect, while you control "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your field or GY; negate that effect.

DARK 4

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned (except during the Damage Step): You can discard 1 card; Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters on either field as Fusion Material, including this card, but you cannot use other monsters you control as Fusion Material. You can only use this effect of "Fallen of Albaz" once per turn.

Spell Quick

During the Main Phase: Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as material, including a Beast or Fiend monster. During your Main Phase, if this card is in your GY and you have "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" on your field or in your GY: You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Add this card to your hand. ● Banish this card, and if you do, Special Summon both 1 "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts" and 1 "Berfomet" from your Deck and/or GY. You can only use this effect of "Chimera Fusion" once per turn.

WIND 6

1 Beast monster + 1 Fiend monster This card's name becomes "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" while on the field or in the GY. You can only use each of the following effects of "Chimera the King of Phantom Beasts" once per turn. If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can activate this effect; send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the GY during the End Phase of this turn. During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Beast, Fiend, or Illusion monster in your GY; Special Summon it.

Spell Normal

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as material, including a Dragon monster. You can also banish monsters from your GY as material, if you use "Fallen of Albaz" as Fusion Material from your hand, field, or by banishing itself from your GY. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there to activate the effect of "Fallen of Albaz" this turn: You can Set this card. You can only use each effect of "Branded in White" once per turn.

DARK 8

"Fallen of Albaz" + 1 Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Monster You can only control 1 "Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon". Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can send 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck to the GY that mentions "Fallen of Albaz" as material; banish 1 monster on the field, also this card cannot use this effect next turn. If this Fusion Summoned card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card: You can destroy all monsters your opponent controls during the End Phase of this turn.

LIGHT 4

If you control "Fallen of Albaz" or it is in your GY: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Fusion Summon 1 Level 8 or higher Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as material. During the End Phase, if a Fusion Monster(s) was sent to your GY this turn: You can add this card from the GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous" once per turn.

Spell Continuous

The activation of your cards and effects that include an effect that Fusion Summons a Fusion Monster cannot be negated, also your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when a monster is Fusion Summoned this way. If you Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster: You can add 1 "Fallen of Albaz", or 1 monster that mentions it, from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Branded Lost" once per turn.

LIGHT 12

1 Level 4 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, if a card(s) leaves the Extra Deck (except during the Damage Step): You can make all monsters you currently control gain 500 ATK (permanently), then you can negate the effects of 1 face-up card on the field, until the end of this turn. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there this turn: You can Special Summon 1 LIGHT Spellcaster monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK equals its own DEF. You can only use this effect of "Despian Luluwalilith" once per turn.

LIGHT 4

(This card is always treated as a "Dogmatika" and "Despia" card.) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 "Fallen of Albaz" or 1 card that mentions it from your Deck to the GY. If a card(s) leaves the Extra Deck (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 "Fallen of Albaz", or 1 monster that mentions it, in your GY, except "Guiding Quem, the Virtuous"; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Guiding Quem, the Virtuous" once per turn.

LIGHT 8

1 DARK monster + "Fallen of Albaz" If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can discard 1 card; Fusion Summon 1 Level 8 or lower Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, except "Lubellion the Searing Dragon", by shuffling Fusion Materials mentioned on it into the Deck, from your monsters on the field, GY, and/or face-up banished cards. For the rest of this turn, this card cannot attack, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters. You can only use this effect of "Lubellion the Searing Dragon" once per turn.

DARK 8

"Fallen of Albaz" + 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster When a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Monster's effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can negate that effect, then you can return 1 monster from the field to the hand. During your opponent's turn, while this card is in your GY (Quick Effect): You can target 1 "Fallen of Albaz" in your GY; Special Summon either that monster or this card, and banish the other. You can only use each effect of "Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon" once per turn.

LIGHT 8

"Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous" + 1 LIGHT or DARK monster If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can send 1 Level 6 or higher LIGHT or DARK monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to the GY. If a monster is Special Summoned by your opponent's activated monster effect (except during the Damage Step): You can banish this card from your field or GY; Special Summon 1 "Dogmatika" monster from your Deck or 1 "Despia" monster from your Extra Deck. You can only use each effect of "Granguignol the Dusk Dragon" once per turn.

DARK 4

(Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand to the GY, then target 1 Fusion Monster you control; it gains 1000 ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. If this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can add 1 "Invocation" from your Deck to your hand.

Spell Quick

Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; banish it, and if you do, until the end of the next turn, its effects are negated, as well as the activated effects and effects on the field of monsters with the same original name.

DARK 4

If you have a Fusion Monster that mentions "Fallen of Albaz" as material on your field or in your GY: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add to your hand, 1 of your "Branded" Spells/Traps that is banished or in your Deck or GY, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. You can only use each effect of "Springans Kitt" once per turn.

WATER 8

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. When your opponent activates a card or effect, except "Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju" (Quick Effect): You can remove 2 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; negate the activation, and if you do, banish that card.

DARK 9

3 monsters with different names Must first be Fusion Summoned using only Fusion Materials from your hand and field, with at least 1 monster from each. If this card is Fusion Summoned by a Spell Card or effect: You can draw cards equal to the number of cards used as material from the hand, and if you do, destroy cards your opponent controls equal to the number of cards used as material from the field. You can only use this effect of "Guardian Chimera" once per turn. While "Polymerization" is in your GY, your opponent cannot target this card with card effects.

EARTH 2

During either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; this turn, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), immediately draw 1 card. You can only use 1 "Maxx "C"" per turn.

DARK 5

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 Level 4 Beast monster and/or 1 "Chimera Fusion" from your Deck to your hand, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Fusion Monsters. If this card is sent to the GY as material for a Fusion Summon: You can target 1 Illusion monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Big-Winged Berfomet" once per turn.

Spell Normal

If your opponent has activated a monster effect during your Main Phase this turn: Activate 1 of these effects; ● Draw 2 cards. ● Take control of 1 monster your opponent controls until the End Phase. ● Look at your opponent's hand, and choose 1 card from it to shuffle into the Deck. You can only activate 1 "Triple Tactics Talent" per turn.

WIND 8

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can remove 3 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; the ATK and DEF of all other monsters on the field become halved.

Spell Field

When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Aleister the Invoker" from your Deck to your hand. The activation of your cards and effects that include an effect that Fusion Summons a Fusion Monster cannot be negated, also your opponent's cards and effects cannot activate when a monster is Fusion Summoned this way. You can only activate 1 "Magical Meltdown" per turn.

Spell Normal

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material.

DARK 4

When this card declares an attack: You can add 1 "Edge Imp Chain" from your Deck to your hand. If this card is sent from the hand or field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Frightfur" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Edge Imp Chain" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

DARK 8

"Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" + 1+ Illusion monsters This card's name becomes "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" while on the field or in the GY. This card can attack monsters a number of times each Battle Phase, up to the number of materials used for it. If this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled an opponent's monster: You can change that opponent's monster's ATK to 0, also negate its effects.

EARTH 4

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 Level 5 Fiend monster or 1 "Chimera Fusion" from your Deck to your hand. If this card is sent to the GY as material for a Fusion Summon: You can add 1 Illusion monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Gazelle the King of Mythical Claws" once per turn.

DARK 8

You can only Special Summon "Abominable Unchained Soul(s)" once per turn. If a card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned: You can discard 1 card; destroy 1 card on the field. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was destroyed on the field and sent there this turn: You can Special Summon this card, but place it on the bottom of the Deck when it leaves the field.

Spell Normal

Reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck and Special Summon, from your hand or Deck, 1 of the Fusion Materials whose name is specifically listed on that card, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters, the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Fusion Deployment" per turn.

FIRE 8

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) to your opponent's field by Tributing 2 monsters they control. You cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn you Special Summon this card. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: Take 1000 damage.

DARK 4

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Branded" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. If a face-up Fusion Monster you control is destroyed by battle, or leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect, while this card is in your GY: You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; Special Summon this card, and if you do, negate the targeted monster's effects until the end of this turn. You can only use 1 "Aluber the Jester of Despia" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

LIGHT 9

"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 LIGHT monster Once per turn, when a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated (Quick Effect): You can send the same type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap) from your hand to the GY; negate the activation, and if you do, banish that card.

Spell Normal

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that mentions "Fallen of Albaz" as material from your Extra Deck, using 2 monsters from your hand, Deck, or field as Fusion Material. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters, the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Branded Fusion" per turn.

DARK 7

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. Once per turn: You can remove 2 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; Special Summon 1 "Radian Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2800/DEF 0), but it cannot be used as a Synchro Material.

DARK 8

"Fallen of Albaz" + 1 monster with 2500 or more ATK Gains ATK equal to the combined original Levels of the monsters used for its Fusion Summon x 100. After this card is Fusion Summoned, for the rest of this turn, it is unaffected by the activated effects of any other monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there this turn: You can add to your hand, or Special Summon, 1 "Fallen of Albaz" or "Dogmatika" monster from your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Titaniklad the Ash Dragon" once per turn.

DARK 8

1 "Fallen of Albaz" + 1+ Dragon monsters Cannot be used as Fusion Material. Must be either Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned by sending the above cards from any Monster Zones to the GY. This card can attack monsters a number of times each Battle Phase, up to the number of materials used for it. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there this turn: You can add 1 "Polymerization" Normal Spell or "Fusion" Normal Spell from your Deck to your hand.

WIND 4

If this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle. You can only use each of the following effects of "Cornfield Coatl" once per turn. You can discard this card; add 1 monster that mentions "Chimera Fusion" from your Deck to your hand, except "Cornfield Coatl". When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a card(s) you control, while you control "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your field or GY; negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that card.

DARK 8

1 Fusion Monster + 1 DARK monster Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 1 Predator Counter on it, and if it is Level 2 or higher, it becomes Level 1 as long as it has a Predator Counter. Negate the activated effects of your opponent's monsters that have Predator Counters.

Spell Normal

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand as Fusion Material. If Summoning an "Invoked" Fusion Monster this way, you can also banish monsters from your field and/or either player's GY as Fusion Material. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 of your banished "Aleister the Invoker"; shuffle this card into the Deck, and if you do, add that card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Invocation" once per turn.

Spell Normal

Add 1 "Edge Imp" monster and 1 "Polymerization" from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Frightfur Patchwork" per turn.
