How to play Volcalize Phoenix (Pyro Deck)
Volcalize Phoenix (also jokingly called "Chicken," "Bird," or "KFC" decks by players) is a deck centered around the incredibly interesting Maximum Summon Fire-type mechanism in Rush Duel.
The deck's core gameplay involves using low-level monsters for defensive stalling, combined with Skills to continuously dig through the deck to collect all three Maximum pieces. Once successfully summoned, the main Boss, Roaring Firestorm Volcalize Phoenix, will crush opponents with its 3500 ATK, defense-piercing attack, life-burning, and powerful card-destroying effects. While its stability isn't absolute and relies heavily on luck, the feeling of blowing up your opponent's board with this deck's blazing fire is sure to be incredibly satisfying!

Skill
The Beasts
Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix (x3)
(Middle Piece): This main monster provides destructive power to the deck. In Maximum mode, it reaches 3500 ATK, capable of piercing defenses (Piercing) and is immune to the destructive effects of Trap cards. You can send 1 Fire/Pyro monster from your hand to the Graveyard to deal 1000 damage, which, combined with armor-piercing damage, creates overwhelming pressure to finish the game in just 2-3 turns. However, when summoned independently, it is quite unremarkable with only 2400 ATK and no special effects.
Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix (L) (x3)
[L] (Left Piece - Thunder Tribe): Expert at clearing enemy monsters. By shuffling 1 Fire-Thunder monster from the Graveyard (usually a copy of itself) into your deck, you can destroy 1 face-up monster Level 9 or lower. In Maximum mode, it allows you to destroy 1 additional monster of any type. Even if you don't have a full Maximum set, you can still Summon it as a 2000 ATK monster to clear a path and attack.
Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix (R) (x3)
[R] (Right Piece - Aqua Tribe): Has a similar effect to the Left Piece but is specifically used to destroy back-row (Spells/Traps). Requires shuffling 1 Fire-Aqua monster from the Graveyard into the deck to destroy 1 Spell/Trap card, and 1 more if in Maximum mode. Because the deck uses other Fire-Aqua monsters to support it (like Dian Keto), this effect is extremely easy to activate and very versatile.
Dian Keto the Gourmet Maiden and Dian Keto the Food Prodigy (x2)
The rare Fire-Aqua monster is included in the deck not for its ATK, but to serve as the perfect "fuel" (cost). It's often sent straight to the Graveyard via Skill, or discarded from the hand to activate the health-burning effect of the Mid-Segment.
After being buried in the Graveyard, it becomes a resource to shuffle the deck, helping the "Right Fragment" [R] activate its Spell/Trap clearing effect.
Flame Ruler (x1)
Low-tier monsters have balanced stats but offer a unique Tribute ability. It can be counted as two Tributes to summon a Left or Right Fragment when you need to use them as standalone attack monsters. In rare cases, it can also be used to Summon Dian Keto the Food Prodigy to take advantage of her ATK boost.
Low-level monsters
These are the low-tier monsters that form the defensive foundation of the deck. They are chosen for their balanced Attack and Defense stats: sturdy enough to withstand significant damage from your opponent's attacks, but not too weak to be easily defeated in attack position. They act as effective time-buying walls, allowing you to survive while digging through your deck for Maximum pieces.
Dynamite, in particular, can sometimes offer a slight advantage due to its ability to chip away at the opponent's health.
Spell/Trap
Volcalize Compound (x3)
It's like a "second Pot of Greed " in the deck, but it requires slightly stricter conditions. If you have a face-up Fire monster on the field, you shuffle 1 Pyro, Aqua, or Thunder monster from the Graveyard into your deck to draw 1 card.
The most terrifying aspect is that if you have a monster in Maximum mode, you get to draw one more card. While this might be a bit tricky to use before you summon a Boss monster, once Maximum is on the field, it's a great tool for digging through your deck to find trap cards.
Heavenly Gift (x3)
An extremely effective tool for speeding up card discarding. This spell allows you to proactively send cards from your hand to the Graveyard in exchange for new draw turns. In this deck's mechanics, you'll frequently use Heavenly Gift to discard Maximum cards (to be retrieved later using a Skill) or monsters that serve as "fuel" (like Dian Keto or Chemicalized Salamander ) to the Graveyard.
Chemicalizer Red (x1-3)
This provides protection and increases the attack power of Pyro Monsters. Although our Boss already has a protective effect, adding this effect to sub-bosses or individual fragments when you can't max them out is quite beneficial.
Many times, our boss gets caught by traps before its effect even activates. Having this card to protect it makes things much safer.
