PART 3: COMMON PROBLEMS WHEN USING S:P

PART 3: COMMON PROBLEMS WHEN USING S:P

Some notes when using effect (1) of SP

S:P Little Knight (Basic)
S:P Little Knight
S:P Little Knight

If the target of effect (1) is a face-down card, that card will be banned in the face-up state.

S:P Little Knight ("Cannot attack directly" effect)
S:P Little Knight
S:P Little Knight

Effect (1) will be applied at the same time as both " banish 1 card " and " your monsters cannot attack directly this turn ".

Monsters currently on the field and monsters that come onto the field after that will also still be subject to this " your monsters cannot attack directly this turn " effect of SP .

You can still activate SP 's (1) effect even if you used a monster to directly attack your opponent this turn. Because this is an effect, not a condition.

I:P Masquerena and Triple Tactics Talent ("Take control" when link is summoned)
I:P Masquerena I:P Masquerena
Triple Tactics Talent Triple Tactics Talent

1. On your field you have IP and 1 other effect monster (only 2 monsters).

2. Your opponent activates Triple Tactics Talent , select the “take control” effect (this effect does not target).

3. You activate IP 's effect, summoning Link to SP with 2 monsters currently on the field.

Your opponent will take control of your SP (with the Triple Tactics Talent ) and your opponent ( who is controlling the SP ) will be able to activate the SP 's (1) effect.

(This is applicable in OCG, but other formats may be similar or different!)

Some notes when using effect (2) of SP

Some notes when using effect (2) of SP

S:P Little Knight (Basic)

Effect (2) forces you to target 2 face-up monsters in the Monster Zone, and there must be 1 monster on your side of the field when activated.

Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss and S:P Little Knight (When the monsters return in the End Phase)
Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss
S:P Little Knight
S:P Little Knight

  • During the End Phase, banished monsters will return to the Main Monster Zone, in the correct battle position before being banned. This action does not count as a special summon and does not create a chain.
  • Whichever player's monster returns to the field, that player will choose the space for them.

A way to clear the Extra Monster Zone and rearrange the vertical positions of monsters.

Effect (2) of SP is a quick effect and must be in the chain link after the opponent activates a card or effect (if you want to use this effect of SP ).

Similar to how to use Ash Blossom !

Shaddoll Dragon, Tenpai Dragon Chundra and Tenpai Dragon Paidra (S:P cannot be used during Damage Step)
Shaddoll Dragon Shaddoll Dragon
Tenpai Dragon Chundra Tenpai Dragon Chundra
Tenpai Dragon Paidra Tenpai Dragon Paidra

You cannot use this effect (2) in the Damage Step.

If your monster accidentally punches FLIP monsters like Shaddoll Dragon , your SP is no longer saved.

The enemy can also take advantage of this to dance in the Damage Step and your SP can only watch.

Dinowrestler Pankratops and Sky Striker Ace - Raye (If the target is no longer on the field)
Limited to 2 copies

Dinowrestler Pankratops
Sky Striker Ace - Raye Sky Striker Ace - Raye

If a target monster (or both) of effect (2) is no longer in the Monster Zone before the effect resolves, SP resolves the effect without doing anything, no monsters are banned.

Also a way to counter SP .

Time Thief Redoer and Book of Moon (When the target is face down)
Time Thief Redoer Time Thief Redoer
Book of Moon Book of Moon

If the targeted monster is in face-down defense position during the resolving effect (of course, the targeted monster must be face-up before), these monsters will be banned face-down. and return to the Monster Zone in face-down position.

These monsters will not be able to interact with other cards or trigger effects when banned.

Miscellaneousaurus and Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon (Target becomes unaffected)
Limited to 1 copy

Miscellaneousaurus
Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon

If you target unaffected monsters or monsters that become unaffected by SP during the resolve effect (2), this effect still applies normally, banish as many monsters as possible, they will return in the End Phase.

S:P Little Knight (The Main Monster Zone is at capacity)
S:P Little Knight
S:P Little Knight

If your Main Monster Zone does not have enough room for banished monsters to return during the End Phase, you choose the monster you want to return to the field (if any) and place the monsters that cannot be returned to the field. banish to the grave ( NOT counted as sent to the grave).

Sky Striker Ace - Shizuku (“during the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned this turn")
Sky Striker Ace - Shizuku Sky Striker Ace - Shizuku

Monsters with the effect "during the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned this turn" cannot use the effect if they have been banned by SP by effect (2) during the same summoning turn.

If your opponent summons Sky Striker Ace – Shizuku that turn, you have a chance to activate SP 's effect (2) in the same turn, you can banish Shizuku . When returning to the field during the End Phase, Shizuku will no longer be able to activate the search effect.
