📢 Banlist Update: Cards to be Unlimited
✅ Brilliant Fusion
✅ Block Dragon
🎴 1. Overall impression
These are 2 cards that were previously restricted/banned because they were too strong in combo decks. Their return to Unlimited will definitely change the meta.
Both of their power combos revolve around extending plays and providing superior advantages.
⚖️ 2. Analyze the benefits and harms
🌟 Brilliant Fusion
Advantages :
Allows dumping materials from Deck to GY extremely fast → supports many decks based on GY (Lightsworn, Shaddoll, Plant, even HERO).
Summon Gem-Knight Seraphinite → adds 1 Normal Summon, extremely valuable in combo decks.
Disadvantages :
Current power creep is high → Brilliant Fusion is strong but not sure to break the meta.
Easy to handtrap (Ash Blossom, Ghost Belle).
🌟 Block Dragon
Advantages :
Pinnacle in Rock deck (Adamancipator, Magnet Warrior, Rock Stun).
When leaving the field → search 3 Rock monsters (lv 4 or lower) → huge advantage.
Helps Adamancipator combo revive strongly .
Disadvantages :
This card was banned due to its long combo and extremely good grind → if it goes back to Unlimited, it could cause an imbalance in the meta.
🆕 3. Tips for Newbies in the Current Meta
✨ If you're new to the game and see these two cards re-opened, here's a hint:
If you like long & creative combos → try Adamancipator with Block Dragon, cheaper than Kashtira/Runick but still competitive.
If you like hybrid combos → take advantage of the Brilliant Fusion engine with decks that benefit from GY dumping (Shaddoll, HERO, Lightsworn).
Prepare handtrap counters (Ash Blossom, DD Crow, Nibiru) because the meta will have many decks revolving around GY + Special Summon spam.
👉 Summary:
Brilliant Fusion returns to give life to many "fun but powerful" decks.
Block Dragon's return is a bit dangerous, newbies can take advantage of it to build a cheap and strong Rock deck.
